India - that we are not !
Tweet Again today i am free and don't have much work so i feel to write, to say whats in my mind. Meanwhile the winter season has just picked up and my passion of sleeping has just gone better. I have chosen the topic on which I would write today.
From the last few years we are constantly hearing that China and India would be the next Super Powers of tomorrow and yes it could be true but as the present situation is looking to me we Indians have lot of ground to cover to even come close to what China it is today.
I think I am a true patriotic person towards my Country but sometime i feel we are not that great as we are projected by us and other Countries. After the emphatic performance in Commonwealth Games we are faring badly in Asian Games. The Country which came second amongst 62 CWG nations is 12th amongst some 40 odd Asian countries. We got most of our gold Medals in Shooting,Wrestling and Boxing in CWGS but in Asian games you have tough competition and Shooters who won Gold medals in CWGs are not even coming in top ten postions in Asiad. Out of some 200 Gold Medals thats been given away uptill now India has fetched only 2 of them thats about a percent only, i am afraid its a shame. The Country which has second largest population in world is lagging behind small countries like Hong Kong and Kazakhstan.Personally I would prefer a Bronze Medal in Gymnastic, Rowing, Swimming or in Wushu then a Gold in Shooting or Wrestling.
We Indians are very proud of being the Second largest English Speaking country in the world and consider speaking English as one of ours Status Symbol but we should not forgot that most of the Developed Countries emphasize their Mother Tongue, you would never see a Chinese,Korean,French or US premier speaking in any other language but their Mother Tongue. I here by wants to say that its not bad to speak English but its bad when you give much more importance it over your Mother Tongue.
Coming to Politicians we have worst of them here in India. When someone comes to Politics their aim should be to benefit common man but the case is otherwise here and i don't have to give you example here you know all of them. Can you name me one Politician in our country who has been given any harsh punishment for his wrong deeds ? Even i can't ! Why can't their be a retirement age in Politics ? We do not want to be ruled by people who are 75,80 or more years old. People like Sharad Pawar, Lal Krishna Advani still wants to be Prime Minister of this Country when they should be spending their time on Bed. You would see the Cabinet Positions are all filled by family members only of a Politicians. They do not want to work for people they just want to rule us and make money.
One thing i never understood is that why don't India have a very tall building ? Well most of the other Countries amongst we compete have them. US,China,Canada,Brazil,Australia,Japan all have high rise buildings forgot 100 storey we even don't have a 50 storey building. Can you name a monument that we had made after Independence and that has fascinated you ? there are not much of them.
Coming to Unemployment we have lacs of Unemployed people here in India who are well educated but still no Job for them. Where does all the jobs goes ? they goes to non deserving candidates who have their near and dear ones already working in those organizations. Before we used to think that bribery and false Candidates getting jobs happens in Govt. department only but ask anyone working in Private sector he will tell you better.
Indeed Indian Armed forces are amongst the best in world but in Arms department we have to rely on foreign soil only. Why can't we make weapons on our own and we could also export them ? We have most of the defense materials exported from Countries like Russia,France,Israel and US. We are proud of our Missile program but all the techniques are Russian. We have are Light Combat Aircraft [LCA] Tejas which we are building it from ages but still we could not Induct it in our Air Force. We thought it would be indigenously made from its design, engine and material but now we are fitting Foreign made Engines into it, so will it be our Success after its made ?
For most of the things we blame our Govt. yes they should be blamed but, we common people should also have some duties towards nation. You would see most of our home very neat and clean but when we move outside our home we would spill all the waste material on road or in open only. We have dustbins at the Chaat Shop but we would deliberately put the waste paper plate in open instead of Dustbins.
We India is the Biggest and prosperous country in our Sub Continent area but to prosper you should have better relations with your Neighbours too and sadly we don't have great relations with them. Forgot Pakistan whom we consider as our arc rival we even don't have good relations with countries like Bangladesh,Nepal,Sri Lanka,Myanmar its just Bhutan with which we have harmony. Being the Big Brother amongst them India should hear their voice too and should try to settle disputes with them Otherwise China is there to help and to serve them.
There are lot of things that i still could narrate here which do not indicate much good for us but, firstly we should not live in the dream that we are the best. Yes we have some best Entrepreneurship skills amongst us but,if we could manufacture our own things and would rely on them rather on foreign goods then we could make some progress.
I wrote this piece because i was hurt of all the wrong things that are happening in our own Country and i think each of us is responsible for this and its only us who can change this. Tweet

Whats coming on my Mind !!!
Tweet Its been longtime that i posted something here, so today as i don't have any work to look after i will write a little here. The main reason for not scripting anything here was that i was busy with the work and whatever free time i was getting i used it to relax out from the workload.
I don't have anything in my mind to write about hence i will pen down whats crossing my mind. Today US President came to India on his maiden visit here, lots of hype have been given to his trip . He just visited Taj Hotel in Mumbai and when he addressed Media, he condemned the 26/11 incident in every possible manner but he didn't mentioned Pakistan and for this our Media is going Bizzare ! Yes we know that Pakistan was behind these attacks but why would Obama refer to Pakistan who also happens to be their strategic partner in their war against terror ? Politics is a difficult game , you have to keep everyone happy and thats what he is doing. We should not rely on US for our matters with Pakistan we must be capable on our own atleast he has chosen India and not Pakistan for his Asian visit.
Moving ahead yesterday we Celebrated Diwali, we say it as the Festival of lights and yes it is also. For once i thought people are not much interested in burning crackers with large thuds now but i was wrong, infact this Diwali for me created more Noise Pollution i could smell the Barood[whats the English word for it ? Gun Powder ?] in my room up-till 12 in the midnight. I just bought 5 Anaars and 2 Packets of Bijli Bombs with my Cousin of which one is still left they costed just 212 INR.
At present i am the lone member at my Home, Mom and Dad have gone to my Maternal Grandfathers home, they tried to convince me to visit with them a lot but could not deter my hard will. My Parents cares a lot for me and still thinks i am same 6 year old who can't live alone but, i understand their feelings every parent is like this. For afternoon lunch Mom had prepared Shimla Mirch Sabji[Capsicum Sabji] and Paranthas which i had eated for Dinner i don't have anything so i would be cooking Maggi and that is all what i could cook.
Off late i am also worried about my future whether i would find some stable job or not ? This Job that i am doing at present is making me to think this, at present i am not enjoying it, lot of work , no rewards, no increment and lastly what i hate most about it is that its a field job and i am tired of it. I have given two Bank exams with a little preparation and my take is will not clear any of them, i am trying to focus for future exams but i am lacking consistency and hardwork for it. My Mom is constantly worried about myself. I don't know what to do, i must not give up, they say if you do hardwork you could achieve your goal , i guess this is the only option that i have.
Yesterday on the Occasion of Diwali one of our Neighbour sent their Daughter In Law back to her home, She was married i guess two years back and recently had a Baby Boy, i don't know what happened with them but still the Guy[the Husband] should have prevented this and must have taken side of his Wife. My Mom told that the In Laws of that lady were telling to her parents that take your girl away otherwise they will kill her.She went with her parents and her Husband remained silent all this time. You get people of everykind i hope all goes well with her.
So, its been 45 minutes that i started writing this, there is lot that i wanted to write but for the time being its all what i could write, now will go towards Dinesh Wagles latest post on his 2 years in Delhi that he just posted. Tweet

One Pleasure that I Always look After
Tweet
There are lot of pleasures that we human beings enjoy and look after but none attracts me more as the one about which i am gonna write about today. I wait for it every month but it does not last for much not more than half an hour and it didn't cost much either, but it varies from person to person. Yes sometimes they are filthy, dirty but its just matter of closing of your eyes and you are on Cloud Nine. So not taking much of your time i disclose the pleasure that i am talking about it is the time that i spend in a Hair Saloon for getting an Hair Cut.
I remember when i was a child i used to go with my Father for having an hair cut and Barber used to put a Wooden Plank on two handles of Chair for me to sit on so that my posture could be elevated , i was so embarrassed by this as i do not want to be seen as a child. But then this problem get solved when i gained some height.
[ The Picture which used to be here is now deleted as the original Photographer of that Pic [to whom I have not taken permission to put it here[unintentionally]] does not want it to be displayed here ]
Now from past 8 years i visit a neighborhood Hair Cutting Saloon called Taj Hair Saloon no its not near to Taj Mahal neither i have seen any replica of it inside the saloon. Its an average looking Saloon with 3 Chairs in it and lots of Empty Boxes of Creams, hair colors and Powders all for display and yes we have a TV too.
I remember when i first went there a guy who was younger then me and he was given the duty to cut my hair and he did very well despite being new to this profession, that guy is now the owner of that saloon. His name is Osaf he was small guy at that time now he stands taller then me.
As usual you have to wait for your turn but in the mean time you can enjoy watching Zee Cinema Channel yes you have to watch it even if you don't like, its mandatory cause you don't get the remote or you can go for Amar Ujala Newspaper if both of these things do not fascinates you can do chit chat with Osaf while he is busy with his work but he is always up for this. But i opt for Zee Cinema, even i don't ever watch it at my home but God knows why i like it at his shop.
When my turn comes the first question he ask is Bhaiyya Wohi Chhote Chhote Krdu ?(Bro same cut with small hair) and i node in affirmative. He will cover my body with a sheet which is tightly tugged at my Neck that virtually Suffocates me. A brisk spray of cold water on my hair and he starts his job. I just relax at this moment while he continues with his job turning my head in all directions and i politely acknowledge that. In between he will start conversation with me, he will ask me where are you working now, what kind of job is yours and all sorts of questions and Gossips. Once when there were no customers except me he told his full family history how the entire generation of his family is in this Business and they are happy doing this work, i enjoy conversing with him i guess this nature of them also makes a customer a permanent one like me[Good Strategy].
You feel like you are in heaven when this hair cutting procedure is being applied on you. I just look at myself in the Mirror whether he is going ok or not with my hair, which my family members compares with Jhadu saying there is no other derivative for them. Even the Barber do suffers with them Bhaiyya bahut he Mote Baal hai aapke [Bro your hair are very thick ], when they grow big they move in every directions hence i prefer to keep them short only
After finishing with the hair he always ask me Shaving bhi krdu aapki ya face massage krdu ? [Would you like to get shaved or try face Massage] but i always decline his offer ,Shaving i do at home only and face massage i know will not make my face any prettier but he gives me a Complementary Champi which is the best part, i so so like this it rejuvenates you. Continuous tapping of his fingers over my head beating the hell out of my Brain but finally Good things always comes to an end and so this also for me.
After paying him[which is not very much] i return home thinking how long will they take to grow again so that i get a chance to visit the Taj Hair Cutting Saloon again.
This is Manish after his new hair cut, by seeing this pic i got an idea to write this post.
