Twitter is one Social Network that is different from all others that I have come across over the period of time, most of the people have their account on Twitter but often they just dump it after using it a little - reason they don't have any personal friends there and also you need to do some hardship to start with Twitter.

Now Twitter is like second home for me [ not a good thing though], you can lock me for a month with just an internet connection on my phone and I will live with it happily[its this crazy]

Today I will write only a single line about best Tweeples on my Twitter timeline, you can write essays about a person but to describe them in a single line trust me is very hard.

I follow about  500 people on Twitter but these selected ones are gems on my timeline some follow me and some do not but you can follow them with eyes shut. There may be some whom I have missed in this list I owe an apology to them[ will add them later]

The Week it was

Okay I am back again pretty soon as I had promised in my previous post. Still I don't have any idea what I would write today but I had begin and intend to complete this post in an hour only.

Yeah so I have got some clue what I could write for this post. I will discuss how this week had been for me and what I did.

As I work in Noida and live in South Delhi I have to cover huge distance daily and it took me around minimum of two and a half hours to cover one direction journey. From last one and a half years me and my Colleague friend Amit are covering this strenuous journey day in and day out, a large part of my day is spent in traveling. I can not afford a car so I have to use Public transport which consists of travelling by Bus, #delhimetro, Auto and then a km of walk to reach my Office. Last week I came to know of a different path and I have been using it and results are very good two and a half hours journey is now reduced to two hours only. Having said this journey now consists of paddy fields too crossing them my Office suddenly emerges which feels good. So all in all minimum of 1hr is saved from my daily routine which I could use some where else.

Now to some very important issue the "C" button of my Office laptop has came out from its place and what has left is a rubbery inner button which is helping me to type C [ as I type this post also ] but now it has also come out of its place. Work in my Office is done through this laptop only and believe it or not the most used button is C[ probably this is why it has came out ] , now what I can do is to go to the Service center and get it repaired which I am not in mood to go,secondly I have one backup keyboard of my Bro in Law's PC which I could use but then taking it to Office daily is not viable last remedy of which I am thinking is to use Fewi Quick[smiling] what say ? will it work ?

Now to not so very important thing, I was getting training in my Office on a new technology from last month which I always wanted to learn, I thought I would never get to work on it but one fine day a mail came to me and I was surprised to see my name in the list of trainees for that technology. From last week I had started to work on that technology and coming few days would be very challenging for me. Hoping for the best.

Oh yeah India and Pakistan celebrated their Independence day this week and a welcome holiday after so many months too for us. So many freedom fighters fought for our freedom[5 words starting from F in this sentence wow !!] we must surely spare a thought for them every now and then as we get time. I wrote Pakistan in the first sentence, don't know why but I am very obsessed with Pakistan and things related to it. What was nice to see on Facebook and twitter this Independence day was Indians greeting Pakistanis on their Independence day and vice versa. I had always believed to prosper we both countries should move ahead together, hopes others have this feeling too.

Tomorrow I'll be going to my hometown Meerut [bad thing >> have to wake early morning]. As I finish this post I am still struggling with this worn out button C  :( ,Indian Idol is coming on TV to which I am not giving much attention. Okay I must take leave hoping to return soon with some productive and nice post :)

10 Things You See While Traveling in Delhi Metro

Its been around 10 months that I have been traveling on #delhimetro day in and day out hence now I am in a position of being a Pro #delhimetro person. This post will be about my experience in a transport facility which by some is called World's most successful. If it would not have been the #delhimetro I could not have reached my home in Vasant Kunj from Noida where I work daily.

Below you will see 10 things that I see most while traveling in #delhimetro in no specific order

Four Coach and Six Coach trains

They say about 200 metro trains are on the go at one instant on six different lines carrying 1.8mn passengers daily. If you see 6 written on the window panes of #delhimetro that means its a six coach train. All the six coach #delhimetro trains are formed of new metro coaches while most of the 4 coach trains are having old metro coaches which dates back to 2002 when first #delhimetro was started. While in new coaches you have LED notifications for station gone and stations which are yet to come and some more hangers to hold on to while you are standing  but old metro coaches have big windows which gives you more space to look outside the beautiful city Delhi.

Male and Female Announcer

As you enter #delhimetro the first thing that you notice is the automatic announcement system that guides you about the coming station and what to do and what not to while you travel on it. But few people know who are the faces behind these famous voices, thanks to Pritam who once told me about them. The female voice is of Rini Khanna and Male voice is given by Shammi Narang and not a surprise both of them had worked with Doordarshan in their early days. These announcement are so persistent that if you call somebody in #delhimetro you'll hear their voices. While " Please mind the Gap " will be the most famous announcement but there is one which I hate most that goes " there will be a short delay in this journey " . For the passengers help announcement goes both in Hindi and English.

Latest Gadgets

Be it Mobile Phones, tablets, Cameras, Laptops, ebook readers or anything I'll advice you to take a stroll in #delhimetro once before you land on your selection.  Whether it is Samsung Galaxy S2, Apple iPhone, Kindle, iPad or any other gadget I have seen them first on #delhimetro then at any other place. In my personal case when I have to purchase my first smart phone I had zeroed in on HTC Wildfire S but my mind got changed when I saw Samsung Galaxy Ace in hands of one fellow passenger what more I recognized my twitter Friend Pritam by his phone when one fine day we both were traveling in the same train this being I have never met him before.

Foreigners

Its not only we Indians who are fan of #delhimetro but our foreign guests seems to adore it too. Very seldom it happens that you don't have any foreigner riding with you in your #delhimetro coach. But one thing I have noticed is that while many of our fellow citizens are somewhat confused which way to go to take their train but our foreign guest remain patient and read the marking on the stations to get to their respective trains, may be the reason could be as most of them have seen such kinda transport facility back home in their countries. One of our Fellow Blogger Shiraz Hassan from Pakistan once when visited Delhi last year did not forgot to travel on #delhimetro and admired it.

Romance

To one thing that #delhimetro have come to rescue is lovers flocking around in the whole city, now they have one more place where they can spend their time peacefully. If there are some corners vacant in #delhimetro it would most probably be filled by a couple romancing. You could see Guys and Girls waiting for their soul mates on platforms or sitting on any bench there, they don't have to go in parks and all now. I wonder how many people must have find their better half while traveling on #delhimetro.

CISF Jawans

As #delhimetro over the years have become one of the symbols of our progress it also faces huge threat from organizations which are not happy with our progress. Hence to overcome such threats the security of #delhimetro is handed over to Central Industrial Security Force(CISF). As you enter you have to pass through frisking by CISF jawans who are always vigil. While they are very stern if you behave otherwise on the same time very courteous if you want any help from them. They do not interfere much but go with their job quietly. CISF jawans male and females from every part of our country can be seen with their khaki Uniform and some carrying lethal weapons such as AK-47 too.

Books And NewsPaper

I leave early in the morning for work and is on the #delhimetro around 8, I see some people sleeping and relaxing and some engulfed into morning Newspapers, while the person reads his newspaper his fellow passenger also peeps into it[I also do it sometimes] if some interesting news is there. There are numerous Newspapers circulated in the city but you can gauge by the presence of them in #delhimetro which is most popular. If you'll ask me Times of India and The Economic Times will top in the English Category while Dainik JagranChetan Bhagat tops here I don't find any day where I haven't seen any of his Book on #delhimetro no wonder he is earning handsomely. You can judge the taste of people by the Books they read. Dan Brown, Arindum Chaudhary, Amitav Ghosh, Khushwant Singh, Amish Tripathi are some of them which are prominent here but you can see most of the famous writers, many of them are not known to me[Pardon my knowledge].

Many Historical and Famous Monuments

Best part of traveling in #delhimetro in this great city is you can visit some of the best places around without stepping out of your #delhimetro coach. Akshardham Temple, India Gate, Supreme Court of India, Jama Masjid, Red Fort, Old Fort, Pragati Maidan, Jawahar lal Nehru Stadium,Qutub Minar, Rashtrapati Bhawan are some of the places that I have personally seen while traveling on it and I am sure there are more which can be seen too. Also if you can not see them you personally can visit them by #delhimetro as it covers most of the city.

Rich and The Poor

With reasonable fares and better connectivity #delhimetro has attracted every section of the society.Rich people who can afford traveling in luxury cars prefer #delhimetro as there are no traffic jams also you can stay away from pollution in the city same time, Poor people with dirty cloths and little knowledge about how to ride on it travel with confidence. Many a times I have seen poor ladies entering #delhimetro premises with pointing their tokens on entry gate and without any help moving on Escalators and then entering their respective #delhimetro. Actually #delhimetro premises are very user friendly if you go by your senses you'll never have any problem traveling on it. This is the place where you see the poorest of poor and the richest sit side by side without any discrimination, I so love #delhimetro : )

Indiscipline

Lastly this is one point which I don't like about #delhimetro. Although people of Delhi have taken #delhimetro with their hands open and you don't see behaving them awkwardly as they do at other places like littering and spitting Paan but still you see people breaking rules. As the #delhimetro comes on platform people waiting outside should first allow the passengers to board out but they will not let them come out and will try to enter it first as to grab places to sit even if there are none left. You stand in queue to enter #delhimetro but many people will break it and will try to enter first. There is a specific coach for ladies first one in the running direction of #delhimetro and few places reserved for them in general coaches too but still they want your places and will ask for them and if you decline they would bully you and will watch you as you have committed some heinous crime.

Okay this was it although there are many more things that happens while travelling in #delhimetro and are in my mind too but at the moment these are the 10 which comes to my mind first. #DelhiMetro to me is the best thing happened to Delhi in recent times. I just wish we delhites keep it clean and follow rules while traveling in it and rest all will be OK.

Dream I have !

I have a dream and i am nurturing it from long time. Its always nice to have dream because you have something to look after and you work upon for its fulfilment. Now a days i see many people visiting foreign land which was not much prevalent before in our part, but as i see them going there i am hopeful that my dream one day will turn into reality. So by now u must have guessed what my dream is all about.

Yes to visit some places which are distant apart from us. So today i will write about some places which i have listed in my dream. And yes i would like to go there with my family which are integral part of my dream.

The First place on my list is China !

China country with most number of people and yet it is worlds fastest growing economy. Despite being our neighbour they are very different from us in most of the respect. They have hosted Olympics(We have to content with CWG), have put their man in Space(We rely mostly on Russia),have permanent seat in UN Security Council(We are begging for it),A family is allowed to have only one child(no stoppage here govt. has just contended with its slogan "Hum Do Hamare Do"). These are some of the things that strucked my mind for choosing China in my list.

Next on list is England

As Britishers has ruled us for many years they have left behind many monuments with Super Architecture and i love them so what better it would be to visit a place where all this started. As i am a firm believer of Mahatma Gandhi i would love to visit those places where he lived or studied. Charlie Chaplin my fav Comedian and Beatles my fav English Band had all lived there, what great time would it be to visit such a place!

Next Comes Russia

Imagine what would have happen if Russia was non existent ? From where we would got our Sukhois ? What would have happen to ISRO ? What about our Nuclear Reactors? Russia our dear long time friend(but i heard people are not so friendly there?) huge country and most compelling reason for being on this list is its Super Cold Climate. I like the Onion Shaped Domes The Kremlin on St. Petersburg Square in Moscow. When Russia comes to my mind some hysteria feeling crops up. This could only be solved after visiting Russia.

Next on line is Bhutan

Druk Yul is what Bhutan is called by its people. This small country in Himalayas was hiding from my mind until i stumbled upon this site which had a Bhutan Travelogue(Which you must also go through, highly recommended!) After going through it i realised what beauty Bhutan is and is easily reachable and not so heavy on your Pockets also. Bhutan is a natural beauty with a mystic touch to it. The best part is you don't need a Visa.

Next we have Mongolia

The reason why you find Mongolia here is because of Ian Wright presenter of Lonely Planet series on Discovery Channel. Seeing the show i came to know how beautiful Mongolia is. The best part what i liked is scarcity of people there(I am fed up of being with humans) so you could just relax and enjoy the vast grasslands there. There are not many cities there(except Ulan Bator that i know) all you see is empty area. Most of the people live Nomad life there.

Last but not the least Pakistan

Some 60 years ago we were same, a single nation but as we are two different nations now many changes must have occurred between us. Our language, culture, food, living are almost similar yet we both think so different. We both nations are now enemies for each other but i personally wants harmony between us. If we could live with each other for so many centuries then why can't now be friends. I have heard common people there are very friendly like us only. They say Lahore is like our Delhi and Karachi resembles Mumbai. Pakistan comes on number one position in my list where i dream of visiting.

So this is my dream now in front of you. I don't know how much time it will take for its fulfilment but i am highly Optimistic for it accomplishment.

May Fav Blogs !

I know no body is reading my blog and why will they if i don't put something in it and do not publicise it, so now i wanted to write some post. I was thinking what should i write but my dumb mind didn't give any hint. Therefore i will tell you about my Favourite blogs.

The first one is Ghumakkar

This is my fav Travel Blog. It is daily updated(well most of the time) and contains detailed travel stories by Ghumakkars. The stories are from all over the world. If you are planning for Vacation just go through it and search your travel destination you will get to know most thing about it. The Pictures are amazing there and beautiful narration along with them. So follow it and be a Ghumakkar.

The next one is Qasba

This is the best Hindi blog i have seen. From NDTV reporter Raveesh. Whats happening in and around Delhi(Mostly!) is narrated in beautiful satire. Most stories that he covers are roadside stories.

One of the best personal blog that i have encountered with. This blog is very humorous. This poor man always live under fear of his Missus(this is how he pronounce his Mrs). It is must recommended from my side.

Final Transit is a personal blog of Priyank Thatte an Indian living in Canada. This guy is hugely talented. Under is travelogue he has covered beautiful places like BBhutan,Peru,Russia,Israel and some more places. If you go through is travelogue you will just struck to it and will complete in a single go(like me).Pictures that he took are awesome but best part is his narration.

This is a Pakistani blog aggregator. Here you can find daily update of some Pakistani Blogs. I guarantee there are some great Pakistani blogs going around. But there are some blogs which are Anti India which you could also see there.

This is a Photo Blog. Daily one picture is uploaded. The picture is centered about India. They are of high quality. With it small description about  the picture is also given.

This blog is written by a small guy(By small i mean age not Stature) Parth J Dave. Though small in age this guy write big things. Looks like he boasts of becoming a big blogger. He had just completed his Europe trip, do catch it on his blog.

There are some other blog too that i follow but i will not reveal them now because if my dumb mind do not give any hint about my new post then i have to post them.
